Onion-Cheese Supper Bread

1/2 cup chopped onion

1 Tbsp. bacon fat

1 egg, beaten

1/2 cup milk

1 1/2 cups pkgd. biscuit mix (I use Bisquick)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 Tbsp. poppy or sesame seeds

2 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine

Cook onion in fat till tender and light brown. Combine egg and milk; add to

biscuit mix and stir just until moistened. Add onion and half of cheese. Spread

dough in greased 8-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and seeds;

drizzle melted butter over all. Bake in 400� oven for 20-25 minutes. Serve hot.
